When Thursday comes around, I get happy inside because our square dance club gets together for classes in the evenings and I get to see my friends. 

When we get there, we help the new students and later we review the more advanced calls.  After a short break, the Caller starts the music and says, “Square ‘em up!”  Some members have regular partners and others dance with many single dancers.  Since we see each other weekly and have gotten to know each other, some of us meet for lunch and even go to each other’s houses to play cards and other table games.  Good friendships have formed not only within our club but with other local clubs when we visit their dances monthly.
