From time to time, members of one square dance club may visit a local club to help them with their new class members – encouraging them that they themselves were also new at one time and making those the same mistakes.  So one evening a friend and I did just that.  When we arrived at the door, they were thrilled to see us and welcomed us warmly.  Square dance clubs work together to help make square dancing thrive.  Not only do members visit clubs locally but I’ve heard members visit clubs while on vacation and attend classes and dances all around the world.
